Uber might need some more support from its drivers and clients this week as Uber Calgary is done since the City of Calgary put an end to "Ride-Sharing". Here is a copy of the email they sent drivers and clients today.
Justin - Earlier today, an Alberta court ruled against ridesharing driver-partners in Calgary.
While today's decision is unfortunate, we acknowledge the ruling and will suspend operations effective 6:00AM tomorrow, Saturday November 21st. We will work with the City on establishing a regulatory framework that will allow Uber to resume operations as soon as possible.
We are incredibly grateful for the support riders and drivers have shown us in recent weeks. In the meantime, we will continue to keep you informed and let you know of new ways for you to show your support.
