Helicopter crashes on departure at Langley Regional Airport (Exclusive footage)

Updated: Nov 11, 2021

Breaking News: Helicopter crashes after undergoing maintenance at Canwest Arrowspace at Langley Regional Airport and we are the first News Source to receive the footage of the crash. (May.20 2021 - 04:53:33 pm)

A Bell 206 jet-ranger which is a two-bladed helicopter crashes after Departure as Jeff Parslow (IG:@jpar247) at Hunter Helicopters rushes over to help the occupants out of the helicopter. He single-handedly helped who we believe is the owner of the chopper first who then walked away leaving his pilot trapped inside. The owner who owns Canwest Aerospace just finished the maintenance on the chopper before taking off. Neither person was seriously injured.

We can’t find the registry for the helicopter as we looked at the public information on the Transport Canada Civil Aviation Register. It doesn't confirm that the helicopter is owned by Tom Jackson who is the owner of Canwest Aerospace had just finished the maintenance before taking off. Sources at the helicopter crash said that Tom Jackson owns the crashed helicopter. It was last registered to Valhalla Helicopter in Kelowna, cancelled on Dec 31 2020.

If a helicopter is not registered it is not allowed to take flight. There are generally one of two things that has likely happened. Owner could be applying for a new registration in another name or operating with a temporary C of R.

One of the blades from the helicopter flew (Eastbound) over the Hunter helicopter hangar smashing into the side of an unoccupied truck causing major damage. The other blade went westbound cutting through a fence and into the side of a building.

A helicopter pilot says he has been there for 5 years and he has never heard of a helicopter crash happening at an airport in at least ten years.

Hunter Helicopter pilot Skeeter Russel who was blocks away having dinner rushed over after receiving multiple calls because a helicopter with similar colour as his had crashed on his property. Skeeter Russel was not in the Helicopter that crashed and the people in the crash were not hurt.

The response time of the ambulance and the fire truck were on scene within 5 - 6 minutes, Great Work!
