Accessibility Statement — Public Relations Canada
Public Relations Canada is committed to making our platform usable by every Canadian, including people with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities. We aim to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 Level AA and to align with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and Canada's federal Accessible Canada Act.
What we have built in
- Keyboard navigation — every interactive element is reachable and operable using only a keyboard.
- Screen-reader friendly markup — semantic HTML with real headings, real buttons, and real labels so screen readers like JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver work correctly.
- Reduced-motion support — if your OS requests reduced motion, we disable the 3D animation and serve a still image instead.
- Light and dark themes — both colour modes are tested for WCAG AA contrast on body text and primary actions.
- Resizable text — browser zoom up to 200% does not break the layout or hide content.
- Alternative text — editorial images carry descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked as such.
Report an accessibility issue
